- Duration: September through December 2026; Flexible start and end dates
- Hours: 15-30 hours per week, depending on school requirements
- Compensation: $11/hour
Job Overview:
Nonprofit Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) seeks a part-time communications intern located in Arkansas. This hybrid and/or virtual role will help the chief communications officer execute multi-channel campaigns to increase scholarship applications, donations, and volunteers. The intern will primarily create content for the blog and social media but will also assist with public relations, event promotion, and other related tasks.
Job Qualifications:
- Working toward or earned within the past year a bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, English, psychology, or journalism.
- Strong writing, editing, and designing skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms. Experience creating reels and short-form video a plus
- Creative thinker and fast learner with an eye for detail.
- Ability to take directions, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of AP Style, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud products a plus.
- Photography and videography skills a plus
Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create articles and videos about scholarship recipients, alumni, volunteers, donors, and staff.
- Manage social media by scheduling posts, monitoring platforms, and engaging with the community. Knowledge of reels and short-form video a plus
- Assist with promoting the new ASPSF Alumni Alliance, fall fundraisers, and scholarship ceremonies.
- Draft press releases and attend local media interviews with staff.

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) is a charitable 501c3 organization dedicated to ending single parent poverty through higher education. Through scholarships and support services, ASPSF serves low-income single parents across 69 counties as they work to complete career-focused postsecondary credentials (degree or skilled trade) leading to sustainable employment with family-supporting wages and a better standard of living for the family.
Established in 1990, the ASPSF model includes:
